Skiing

Situated in the westernmost tail of beautiful Switzerland you will find the sun and snow kissed Valais. The clouds formed by the moist air of the nearby Mediterranean Sea release its white glory onto the wonderful village of Verbier. Transforming so the spectacular scenery into a glorious winter fairy tale. Surrounded by 4000 metre high mountains you will find beautiful wooden Chalets which are settled on 1500 metre high plateaus. As they are facing south, a fantastic view of the giant Grand Combin welcomes our guests.

In this area alone you will find 32 lifts that lead you to wonderful slopes and fantastic powder runs. You can discover Savoleyres with its gently inclined slopes of 30˚, the wild mogul runs on Mont Fort, secured free-ride slopes (itinerary routes) such as Vallon d`Arbi, Col des Mines, Gentianes or Chassoure-Tortin.

Tortin is the area which connects the remaining 3 of 4 valleys, Thyon, Veysonnaz, and Nendaz. It is here that you will discover slopes of all levels of difficulty, including the enormous off-piste ski run from Greppon Blanc down to Les Masses. It hosts a total of 102 lifts and 400 km of ski runs.

With a bit of a climb you will reach spectacular ski runs such as “Rock Garden”, “Stairway to Heaven”, “High Way”, “Le Blanc”, and “Hidden Valley”. With a total of over 50 absolutely stunning runs it is no surprise that the finals of the Freeride World Cup were hosted here. A ski tour on the Rosa Blanche with a 2500m decent to Tortin, or even an entire day on the Chamonix Mont Blanc side, with the sensational glacier run through the Vallée Blanche or an amazing back country tour up to the beautiful Helbroner followed by a fascinating 300m descent to the Aosta Valley.
